Mountain Romance is a style shoot inspired by the beautiful Wānaka scenery and two modern & adventurous lovers who decide to ditch the big wedding and to elope in the mountains of Aotearoa.
We teamed up with some talented, local wedding vendors and chose the elegant and feminine Copper gown by Ivory and Stone bridal to set the tone. This bridal gown is a modern statement with it’s deep plunging neckline, golden details and long billowing sleeves. We paired this look with some Wānaka-made golden jewellery and neutral dried florals. Our groom was wearing beige & crème tones, without the classical suit jacket to keep the relaxed but modern vibe.
Our gorgeous couple took the scenic road via 4WD adventure to an exclusive location. There is no need for a helicopter if you can get to places like this! We found the perfect elopement spot overlooking the Matukituki river flowing into lake Wānaka. We topped it off with a romantic picnic and bubbles right in time for sunset. This in combination with honey tones, golden grasses blowing in the wind and glowing peaks made the perfect, dreamy mountain escape!
