In keeping with Māori tradition, we gifted each of the groomsmen a pounamu (greenstone) ring which we had blessed. James wore a beautiful pounamu around his neck, which was given to him by his 91-year-old koro (grandfather), who blessed our wedding rings before we put them on.
Tell us a little about your selves, what you do, what you love, what is unique about you and your relationship: I’m a Marketing Manager and George owns his own building company here in Wellington, New Zealand.
Thomas: We were travelling across Europe visiting family when I proposed. We were in Paris and, to Danielle’s dismay, I asked her to pose yet again for another #FollowMeTo photograph in front of the Eiffel Tower.
Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love… Emily – I’m a graphic designer and Ryan is an electrician. We have a beautiful, but very mischievous one year old dog, Kaia who keeps us on our toes!
Wanting to have a kick-ass wedding on a budget meant doing a lot of the work ourselves, but we did a good job. Layne and I were able to source second-hand candles, vases and new black linen napkins on Facebook Marketplace.
Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love… Matt and I (Emma) live in Narrabri NSW where we both grew up and now have our own home – I am anaccountant and Matt is a farmer.

Rhys and I grew up in the same country town, went to the same high school and sat next to each other in the school band for four years, but we didn’t start dating until we’d finished school. Now we’ve been together for eight years
Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love… I’m from Finland, I came here 10 years ago and fell in love with the country and Wade. We both love surfing and making adventures around it.
Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love… We are Carlie and Paddy!. I (CS) work as a Key Account Manager at Trade me and Paddy works in Trades recruitment. So basically, we are both in Sales and are equally as mad.
Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love… I (April) work in the design department for a fashion company and Richard is an engineering geologist.
Tell us a little about yourselves, what you do, what you love… We’re a young couple (I 21 and Ben 23 when we were married) who met and fell in love in 2017. After spending two years over in Sydney, Australia studying, Ben and I found ourselves back home in Auckland in March of 2020.
