Found Treasure

Our studio is based by the coast and our signature style is the tidal and coast ring, which has a unique and subtle, organic shape that connects with people who have a love of the ocean. We only work with fine metals such as gold and platinum, and don’t plate any of our work. There is so much beauty in raw metals that we don’t like to cover it with plating, plus the upkeep is easier.

Wedding rings are so personal, and you’ll wear them every day, so lots of people want to design their own rings, rather than buy something off the shelf. Our clients can speak directly to the maker so elements of your love story can be incorporated through the craft.

I’ve noticed a lot of oval diamonds for engagement rings, a very elegant, modern look. More couples are open to champagne diamonds — the tones are really striking alongside yellow or white gold. And a lot of couples like our matching wave wedding rings — both rings have the same shape and interlock together, which adds a whole new meaning.

Cullen Jewellery

We prioritise building lasting relationships over transactions. We share information and expertise freely so our clients can make confident, informed decisions. We use modern technology paired with the experience of our in-house jewellers to craft fine jewellery our clients cherish for a lifetime of love.

Recently we’ve noticed a shift towards bezel and east/west settings, coloured stones and toi et moi styles, which feature two gemstones. Customisation is always a popular option for those who want to create a special piece that reflects their personality.

Don’t be afraid to break away from trends. Your forever jewels should reflect your individuality and love, regardless of what’s popular at the moment.

Zoe & Morgan

Our jewellery is a unique blend of design, craftsmanship, ethical practices, customisation, and symbolic meanings, often inspired by cultural influences from art, history, and spirituality.

Our dedication to artisanal techniques adds a personal touch to each piece and infuses the designs with meaning for the wearer. We prioritise ethical sourcing of materials, using responsibly sourced gemstones and metals whenever possible. These all contribute to our distinctive appeal to customers seeking something special and meaningful in their daily lives.

After an era of delicate feminine designs, we’re currently having fun creating bigger, bolder styles. We also make love rings – there are lots of alternatives to a traditional wedding band. We’re making some lovely chunky gold styles at the moment, that we envision being passed on through families with amazing stories to tell.

Trends come and go. Choose a piece that makes your heart sing.

Temple of the Sun

Our ‘modern ancient’ aesthetic sets us apart, seamlessly merging contemporary design with archetypal symbols to craft meaningful heirlooms. Each piece is handcrafted in Byron Bay, and features symbols and gemstones rich with ancient significance, inviting a deeply personal connection with the wearer.

Our clients are drawn to responsibly mined Australian blue, green and parti-sapphires, valued for their striking beauty and hardness — second only to diamonds. Toi et moi rings resonate with couples seeking to immortalise their connection in a dual- stone design.

When selecting your forever jewels, try to look beyond trends and instead focus on designs that speak to your values and journey as a couple. Choose a stone that resonates with you, whether natural or lab-grown, and consider symbols or personal touches, such as a love knot, that hold personal significance.

Fragments Fine Jewellery

We have curated a collection of timeless pieces designed for a lifetime of wear, and we also offer customisation, whether by adding birthstones or engraving. We provide a bespoke service, allowing customers full creative freedom to collaborate on their dream pieces. Quality craftsmanship and customer service are at the core of everything we do.

Many of our clients are remodelling heirloom diamonds and pieces to create rings that are more contemporary or better suited to their style — a trend that is sustainable, cost-effective, and sentimental.

It’s important to be informed. We take pride in educating our customers about diamonds and gemstones so they are well-equipped to make the best decision for their budget and preferences. Beyond that, trust the process. When you combine high quality materials with expert jewellers, the results are pretty special.

Zoe McBride

Fresh, curious and quirky, each unique piece is the result of play and experimentation, honouring the form, function and sentiment of jewellery, with a timeless twist. Carved and sculpted from jeweller’s wax by hand, we create pieces for the collector of curious things, made to be treasured, worn and to become part of your story.

Objects which tell your story will always hold a place in your life. When choosing your jewels, don’t get too caught up in the ‘forever’ element of it: love it and be genuinely drawn to it at the time.

I’ve noticed clients getting a lot more creative with their wedding bands, treating them almost like a second engagement ring, and I’ve seen a sidestep away from solitaire rings towards three and five stone settings, as well as coloured gemstones for engagement rings.

Aurea Jewellery

Every Aurea piece is hand-crafted with love by Alex in Auckland, and designed to be beautiful from every angle, made to the highest standard for longevity. Many pieces draw inspiration from Mother Nature, like the much-loved Fleur solitaire, which elevates the classic solitaire with an intricate flower setting that showcases a diamond of your choice.

Yellow gold is very on trend for engagement rings and wide-cuff wedding bands. Oval diamonds are popular for engagement rings, as are marquise and elongated cushion diamonds, and there are lots of fancy shaped diamond eternity-style wedding rings, like oval, emerald, radiant and pear diamonds.

Craftsmanship is very important when choosing rings that stand the test of time. Invest in quality diamonds and gemstones that will hold value and become beautiful future heirlooms. And choose a jeweller that has a deep understanding of this and offers a manufacturing warranty for peace of mind.

Colin Bartlett

I sketch by hand, select every gem personally, hand-make and individually set each stone. I offer the experience of working directly with the jeweller throughout the entire process, and I’m dedicated to understanding what you want. I’ve noticed lately that guys are loving signet rings or hybrid signets. Platinum or white gold claws are starting to make a comeback and we are seeing lots of couples personalise their rings — from skate bowl settings to hidden toi et moi diamonds in his inner band to mirror her engagement ring.

I advise couples to invest in quality metalwork and craftsmanship to ensure you get a stunning ring that will stand the test of time.

You will be wearing your rings for the rest of your life. Take your time and enjoy the process.

Partridge Jewellers

We are a heritage jeweller with over six generations in the family business. We have jewellery to suit every taste, from international brands to our in-house Partridge Collections, designed and made by our team.

We have been finding that ‘simple’ seems to be the calling card of the moment, with clients favouring beautiful diamonds in pared-back settings. We are lucky to have an incredible depth of quality natural diamonds available, including De Beers Forevermark, which are the top 1% of the top 1% of white diamonds. More clients are beginning to consider coloured stones.

We advise clients to lean on our team of sales experts: no one has more experience than they do! While you might like the look of something on Instagram, it is worth considering how something fits on your hands or decolletage, and other pieces of jewellery that you might like to add to it.

Amélie George Bridal

Amélie George Bridal stands out for its timeless elegance and attention to detail. Each piece is meticulously crafted to complement the bride’s individual style, incorporating delicate pearls, sparkling crystals, and intricate designs for a touch of sophistication on your special day.

We’ve observed a trend towards minimalist yet statement- making earrings featuring sleek lines, geometric shapes and subtle embellishments. Brides are increasingly looking for versatile pieces that can be worn beyond the wedding day.

When selecting wedding accessories, brides and bridesmaids should always stay true to their personal style. Opt for pieces that complement your gown without overpowering it, and that choose metals and gemstones that complement your skin tone. Don’t be afraid to mix and match different textures and styles for a unique and personalised look that reflects your individuality.

We’ve noticed yellow gold is back in a big way, and oval diamonds continue to be sought-after, for both engagement and wedding rings. Classic minimalist solitaires with high settings are popular for their stacking abilities. Our natural reclaimed diamonds are perfect for those who want a natural gemstone and exceptional value.

Karen Walker Atelier

Everything is made bespoke. Since its inception, Karen Walker Jewellery has been made in a family-owned and run Auckland workshop founded in 1953 and still faithful to laborious, traditional, and highly specialised processes. Clients can consult with Walker’s team to choose their mix of stones and metals. Choices include champagne diamonds, black diamonds, peach morganite, rutilated quartz, and grey or peach moonstones cast in white, yellow, or rose gold.

We love it when people choose what suits them best, whether it be a discreet, delicate style involving a clever graphic pattern or a more grand, Art Deco-inspired suite of nesting, flashing diamonds.

We advise clients to choose pieces they will love for years, and consider whether they can be stacked or built upon, as you may wish to collect additional pieces over the years that work with your original ring.

What we love most about this glorious selection is the personal connection we have with these brands.
