Ultimately, we wanted our wedding to feel like us, not contrived or influenced by what a wedding ‘should’ be. It’s easy to see weddings on Instagram and think that you need to tick every box and have every single detail perfect to make it a special day, but that’s just not true!
Charles is of New Zealand and English descent and I am of New Zealand and Spanish descent, so our beautiful and COVID-sized wedding was a mix of Spanish/European styling with modern Kiwi paired back simplicity.
I popped a bottle of champagne and proposed that night, on top of the hill, just the two of us as the sun was setting.

Tell us about yourselves: N: “We are a young couple. He is 29 years old, Italian and I’m 28 years old, half South Korean and half Angolan but now, both of us are living in Cascais, Portugal. We work together in digital marketing. We are into simple things. We like nature, reading, travelling, sports, etc.”
A glamorous shoot set in the historic Hopetoun Alpha in Auckland’s CBD. A venue brimming with detail and history is paired with modern crisp lines, muted colours, centre stage adorned with florals and dried palm leaves, its form resonating with the circular ceiling detail and pillars.
