Simplicity is the key in this gorgeous styled shoot at Havana Haus.
This styled shoot was organized by Laura Reger at the unique “Havana Haus” on the Sunshine Coast, Australia. As a lover of warm tones and minimalist photography, Laura stuck to one basic idea: Simplicity.
With roots in Italy, Laura remains connected to the warm tones and Mediterranean vibe. Her love for browns and beige tones with combination to lots of white space is evident in this gorgeous shoot. Laura believes this kind of approach keeps the person in focus and doesn’t distract from its uniqueness with bright colors, glitter and patterns. With hardly any color in the scene, more focus is placed on the emotion and beauty of individual people.
Alongside her wonderful team, Laura was able to organize this shoot according to her vision. The location is a dream of variety and simplicity. From lots of monochromatic areas to a play of light and shadow, HAVANA HAUS has everything a photographer’s heart desires. Chloe, the owner, is also such a professional when it comes to bringing a Mediterranean look to Australia.
The bridal designers Judy and Amber are true artists and have unique designs that can suit every taste. As such, the designs worn by the models perfectly captured the emotion that Laura was going for.
Another vendor on this styled shoot’s dream team is Chloe from Lovebird Weddings who designed the beautiful table decor concept with attention to detail, focus on less, and harmony with the colors of the venue. Meanwhile, Terrianne from Mondo Floral Design is the queen of modern florals and completely exceeded everyone’s expectations.
The H&MU stylists, Niki and Maddy, also did a fantastic job and were on fire as they knew exactly what fit any concept. Their use of elegant styling highlighted the beauty and uniqueness of the models.
Models Kate and Dan are both from South Africa while Ruby was considered the shoot’s natural Australian beauty. Together, they were able to bring uniqueness and contrast to the different photography scenes.
This styling project was organized to highlight how beautiful simplicity is. Glitter, patterns, and loud colors are not necessary all the time. As the saying goes, “less is more”. Keeping it simple can also create something incredible.
