We are seeing a strong reemergence of colour across all elements of weddings. Itâs popping onto tables, predominant in bouquets, and even wedding stationery. We canât help but see this as a beautiful reflection of hope shining through after tough times.
Flora Trends
Drawing inspiration from a 1960’s colour palette, the modern bride is embracing vibrant pastel flora and abstract arrangements. Incorporating lemons and other bright fruits we can see the Mediterranean influence is becoming more prevalent in wedding styling. See how Sue Cameron from Floral Stylist creates beautiful flower clouds with bursting stems and how Brett Matthew John uses an array of flora and contrasting pastel colours.

Along with flora, we are also seeing colour sneaking into gowns and wedding fashion too.

Stationery
Wavey lines, vintage handwritten script and of course more colour is what we are seeing pop up in wedding stationery. European inspired name tags, bright welcome signs, and of course, more lemons! Using multiple fonts to contrast remains a popular trend but using multiple colours for text and papers seems to be on the rise. We love seeing vendors creations working together where colour themes of flora arrangements and stationery cohesively complement the intended style. Sam Pauletto plays a big role in this emerging style, using an array of colours and playing with fruit and plants. He even replaces paper name tags for real lemons!

Table Styling & Furniture
Continuing with Mediterranean themes, we are seeing arches in furniture like bars and backdrop walls. More colour is being used on table decor in glassware, plates, candles and linen all tying together with usually abstract and pastel flora on the tables. Again we are seeing more fruit this time used to decorate tables.
