My mom reminded me recently that when she and my dad visited Shanghai in the early days, a group of us were walking home from lunch, and as Sarah crossed the street, I told them, “if I were going to get married, I’d marry her”.

Helen ——Rich and I both spend most of the working day staring at screens — I’m a lawyer and he’s a quantity surveyor — so on the weekend we love to pack up our outdoor cooker, go to one of our local beaches and cook a slightly upmarket fish and chips for our friends.
Our wine list consisted of wines that meant something, that we’d tried on date nights or visited the wineries and there was a good splash of French champagne in there too.
